Tax on car

Ambiguous bill, double taxation and looks more like double taxation. it's unconstitutional....no stakeholders were consulted, only notified, what is collected on the ground doesn't matter..it will fail in court but the usual threats will be met on the judiciary. 2027 Ruto won't win it...it's conclusive. The next regime will have to scrap some of these bad laws.
 
It was wrong for citizen tv to invite the tax collector but not tax policymakers. Surely he only does what the policymakers want him to do. Sai Ndii akiamua you pay tax on air, the tax collector will implement just that

Yes but at least as Deputy commissioner, he could have explained his role is just to collect instead of mumbling incoherent things. He's a senior most officer.The requirements for such positions are usually high, he could have used that opportunity to explain role of kra and how they fit in the tax picture.

Anyone would struggle, not just him. Maybe Ndii would be the perfect person to explain it. Izi tax proposals are straight from IMF. The other fool said the tax on bread is to curb diabetes.

There was a lady from kra who when invited a while back clearly said what kra role is, just an enforcement and collection center, she didn't try to justify the tax or dispute it but said her role.
She said they don't even know what the tax will be used for because it it not their function.

Any senior commissioner can easily say that, they are not politicians to justify anything.
