Incredible stuff and really happy for Vincent Kompany who was once the captain of the Belgian national team alongside Manchester City despite his Congolese background and young age of 38.

From Wikipedia: Kompany's father, Pierre, is a Congolese immigrant to Belgium and serves as his agent. He had been interned as a student for rebelling against Mobutu Sese Seko, the dictator of Zaire. In October 2018, Pierre was elected the mayor of Ganshoren, making him the first black mayor in Belgium. His mother, Jocelyne, was Belgian and Kompany described her as a "socialist, borderline communist". The Kompany family faced racism. At age 14, he was expelled from school due to his frequent absences for the Belgium youth team, and also dropped from the team for clashing with the coach. He then faced further setbacks with his parents' divorce and eviction from his home. Kompany said in 2019 that due to widespread drugs and gangs in his local area, he could have chosen an "extremely wrong path" at this age.

Kudos to the guy! But lets not forget Obamas presidency led to trump, who would have thought a guy claiming Obama had a forged birth cert would end up as prez? The fight against racism has just turned a new page, its not over!

I don't see this in an anti wokeness light at all.. To me it's just sad that Africans have to flee their homes to other countries in order to be successful at a world stage. So many brilliant Africans working all around the world who would have had a great impact back at home had they had the opportunity.

Someone will vote in a known corrupt thief as a leader today then tomorrow will contribute funds to have their relative on a plane flight to better opportunities elsewhere. Why not save you and your children's future by not throwing your country away so mindlessly?

Western nation citizens have started taking an anti immigration stance. Would you blame them when lax immigration policies have led to increased crime and insecurity from foreigners in their countries?
