Its now just 7 minute drive thanks to Uhulu unlike b4 when it was 2+ hrs due to the bad roads espessiary hapo Karima Mutiume. Uhulu alifanya kasi buana. He should come back asaidie hii watu ya muchatha who are being taken back to the stone age na hii mtu yenu.

Saa hii tipis to narok is nywee thanks to uhulu. So nakuru to narok is just a few minutes thanks to the new tarmac road.

Legend has it that part of the road's tarmac in the early seventies was "eaten" by a Provincial Roads Officer called Kim Gatende (fun fact- he co-drove Peter Shiyukah in the 1973 Safari Rally). The road was never remembered for tarmacking again until 40 years later because it was because records showed it was tarmacked.
