That style is a derived from Pagoda style, originated in Japan hundreds of years ago. Do your research well on the Internet before you give credit of invention.

That is the general assumption for the casual observer. Any design professional will tell you that these are two totally different styles.
 
Those designs are common in ancient architecture in Japan and China. You will see them if you watch kungfu movies. He just copy pasted but kudos anyway
