When we do projects for clients who understand why testing building materials is important, every once in a while we get very bad results,
Cement that will never achieve its strength or gains strength at a very slow rate (Rai)
Steel reinforcement bars that also cannot achieve strength, are too brittle or smaller than adverticed diameter (accurate, kifaru)
Sand, masonry stones and ballast are the worst since quarries hazina quality control......., with this you need a very keen and knowledgeable foreman to reject deliveries because engineer hako site daily.
Sometimes unapata investment ya mtu iko na cracks mwenda not because he cut corners while building but because materials were sub standard
I now understand mkuu.....wengi husema hizo cracks ni nyumba ikisettle kwa ground.... expansion after kunjengwa ama low quality mchanga ya plaster

Those too are factors that can lead to cracks, donge?
What do you think about it?
Chuma ya kifaru sijui lastly niliskia lini.... but he has highlighted a very interesting concept....the strength and the rate of gaining strength of the cement ....na tumezoea Savannah , tembo....so we upgrade to Bamburi

Blue triangle.

Btw very few people think of confirming the quality of the material. Ukiona tu chuma imeadikwa D20, unaitumia
