You are confusing the honeymoon phase and the 100 days. Kenyans were optimistic because it was one of the most unanimous elections. But as the appointments came through and a certain person, they shall not be named, who arrived late to the party was edged out, it became toxic.

nothing will change even after 5 years going by the appointments being made. No inspiration at all. Remember those heads are the ones to spear head government policies and changes.
government is being expanded by day yet we expect recurrent expenditure to go down.
State capture is still the norm, and nabii desperate for western embrace after the icc saga, expect more western power producers and now water vendors to join the party.

No need to unpin. The pledges were not just for the first 100 days, but for the 5 years till the next election. This thread should represent listers' effort to objectively evaluate the current govt throughout until 2027. Otherwise it was all wasted effort

In 70s the politicians used to talk of ' piped water in every homestead by the year 2000 ' . They stole public funds, 90% are now 6ft under and their siblings are fighting for the ill aquare wealth ,they will die poor too !

that's what we keep getting it wrong and politicians know it. If we can hold them accountable ,they would perform but if they know we don't care and they're assured of our votes, they won't do shit and the appointments being done points to it.
Like a simple thing of dualing nrb-nkr highway should have be done ages ago and shouldn't be a toll road. I expected nkr, kericho, uasin ngishu and other western leaders to push for it since it's a core road for them but hardly any weekend pass without hearing of traffic jams wasting fuel and man hrs.
The voters of 1992, 1997 and 2002 were more wiser than today's age voters.
The optimism of 2002 was from the fact that change was coming. It was a time when citizens would arrest cops for taking bribes. Something that has never happened before.But once wananchi heard of the scandals within Kibaki government, hope was replaced by despair. That's when honey moon phase ended
