Have you ever seen a black Argentine anywhere even on tv? Chances are that you haven't. But I can bet you have seen black Brazilians like in football.. In fact almost 50% of Brazilians have lineage to Africa. So why is it there are no black Argentines yet in the 1800s 30% of Argentines were black? There was a systematic plan to eliminate blacks from Argentina and in summary here is how it was executed.

1. Most Africans died in the Paraguayan war of 1865 between Paraguay and the Triple Alliance, which include Uruguay, the Empire of Brazil and Argentina. It is said that most Africans were signed up for the deadly war, leading to their large-scale deaths.

2. The 7th president of Argentina, Domingo Sarmiento, carried out a massive genocide of Africans in Argentina. Apparently, between 1868 and 1874, Sarmiento put in place oppressive policies that saw the death of many blacks,

3. President Domingo Faustino forced blacks to live in squalor and denied them medical care. They got wiped out by Yellow Fever and Cholera.

According to the 2010 census, there are about 150,000 blacks in Argentina out of 45million people. Compare and contrast these two south American countries football squads

The important thing is that the Brazilians will always clobber the Argentinians.
