Devolution will just widen inequality. Counties with poor illiterate populations will be looted to the ground, as those near Nairobi and major towns benefit from better leadership due to greater scrutiny by the media, civil society and more educated populace. It is not by chance that recalled gavanas have been from around the capital.

Let's not condemn it wholesale. Places like Kitui and Makueni have immensely benefitted in terms of dams, healthcare and infrastructure. That however doesn't mean there isn't leakage of funds.
When politics is involved, the educated and non-educated think alike. Think of the people who voted for Sonko, Waititu and Bishop Maggie. Those aren't great leaders.

Corruption was devolved , the people involved in this can easily be traced and the funds can be recovered !
Otherwise in many counties devolution succes can be seen and felt too
Let me hear the successes of devolution and also put in the amounts of funds these counties have received from 2013 to 2022.

The benefits you are seeing are not commensurate with the funds they have received.
Score cards to measure counties in order of mediocrity? The fact is devolution has failed. The national government had the bigger picture.
