Bei ya Aug-Sep ilikuwa ngapi i see for Brent Crude ilikuwa 96$ for that cycle...all factors remaining constant bei ingekuwa ngapi ju ya Uhuru na Subsidy ilikuwa 215, one month later the price is at 95$ for Brent na ndio ii tumepatiwa bei ya 179 without subsidy. Help me understand the mazematics applied

EPRA uses a formula (I don't have it). In their statement attached, they said petrol landing cost reduced by 24%.

From trading economics, oil fell from US$ 96 in July to US$ 88 in August. This is the major reason why fuel didn't increase much

They aren't even using brent, thats what I realized. Also, when did diesel become expensive than petrol?

I do not have much knowledge about them. But I know Brent ni enye hutumiwa Europe, wti ni ya US and north america. Sisi, as EPRC wamesema, tunatumia murban. It seems to be expensive than the other two which have almost similar charts

To begin with there is 5 shillings less on your fuel which was being collected as a levy to subsidize mafuta.

Next to is to find cheaper markets. Then review all the levies and possibly cut the 8% VAT to 4%. Solutions ni mingi. The only question is if the books at treasury will balance.
