21st Anniversary

I remember that day very well.

It was on a Tuesday and for some reason, I hadn't gone to school that day. In the late afternoon, as I hoped my cutest STD 6 classmate and 1st crush ever would come to check up on me, it happened.

BREAKING NEWS read on the screen of the then Nation NTV with no more information apart from an image of a smoke-engulfed North Tower of the World Trade Centre. We all know the events that followed which continue to affect how we still live especially when it comes to travel.

Where were you on 11/9/2001?

Catching a kopo la uji after work or some such with a good storybook and TV volume off when wife asked me "what is this" only to see a plane crash into the second tower (I don't know if it was realtime or a rerun) but Tom Clancy's Debt of Honour came to mind.

Dude, you'll save yourself a lot of time and trouble if you just stood in the marketplace with a board reading "I am a low-IQ bonobo" 😂 😂 😂 😂

Wewe ilikuwa Std 6 ukiwa miaka nne?

Having said that, admin should create a category for teenagers...

Form 1, boarding school, we were already in school, a classmate reported late and came with wild tales, later, due to the significance of the event, the principal allowed us to watch the 9pm news. Next item I remember was the declaration by Bush "We are at war"
