sakaja on boda boda

Going by populist declaration, will boda boda now be free to roam anywhere in cbd? will order be achieved?

I don't think he is that stupid. Allowing boda bodas in the city will increase congestion, accidents, crime and pollution. Nairobi will then completely transform into a shithole city.

Unleashing boda bodas in the city would guarantee him a one term governorship or a Sonko exit.

There are better ways of creating sustainable employment for our young people. Boda bodas in the CBD can only employ a limited number of people. The economic costs of allowing them in are greater than keeping them out.

Don't forget that Kenyans do not like boda bodas. They see them as a necessary evil.

It is true , we were forced on to them .
Majority of Kenyans appreciate them, they are lifesavers when stranded with your vehicle (good luck getting your fellow vehicle owners to help you out on the roadside) they deliver your shopping at the comfort of your home, they provide security in most estates where they chase down thugs that broke into your homes....I still insist you speak for yourselves

Agreed , the benefits are many but the chaos that comes with it is our concern .
Some order wouldn’t hurt.

They have their place in the economy. They provide an essential service where larger capacity vehicles are not practical. CBD would be total madness if they are allowed in. I would rather we have few cars and more buses. Let's have buses connecting all major streets within the CBD.

Cars can be reduced by introducing a congestion charge for every private car getting into the CBD. A limited exhemtion can be made to those business owners.
