Plot twist, the road actually cost 6 billion, the other six billion was probably pocketed by directors as they sung the assimio song and donated some for cleaning by the chief cleaner

I would agree with you if plans are not usually prepared before hand. Were they not following the designs the created? If they were the problems started there, possibly rushed as you say.

As usual, the ever whining middle CRASS ni makele tu bila evidence. Mnasema pesa ilikulwo but don't do any comparative analysis. Kama ingekuwa watu like @shocks saying we didn't get value for money, ningesikiza because they can answer questions sensibly.

A new swanky road with all the bells and whistles costs a lot to build. Angalia Thika road with it's exits, running lanes, deceleration lanes, footbridges etc. How much would it cost to replicate that on the Eastern bypass? Would it be prudent to spend such money there just to get things "perfect".

The perfect is the enemy of good. Use the road as is bila kusumbua. Ama mtu ajenge yake, akimaliza kuendeshea gari anaifunga kama gym mat anapeleka nyumbani.

I'm a regular user of that road. Being a two way road, it has been dangerous. The danger now is that Kamakis is a drunk driving zone all the way to membly and kahawa west. Speeding ndiyo chida bro. Have a slower day.

I think you are confusing the two sections .The first part was done my Nippon Koei and starts pale Library and ends hapo meteorological. This section is well marked and with functional traffic lights. Also the project includes pedestrian walkways . The drainage is very well done.
The second part starts hapo meteorological and ends huko Karen .This part was done by a Chinese contractor .The road is uneven infact you would think this part was made many years ago but actually ilitengenezwa after the Japanese did their part. Drainage is terrible and the road design is not safe for road users. U turns ni terrible and the lanes end haphazardly.
