State Capcha derailing IEBC

To the best of my knowledge vote identification, voting, and counting this time will be orderly and supported by a couple of measures that have been put in place. Challenge will be relaying the results from the tallying centers to the IEBC servers, especially for 1100 + stations that rely on satellite modems. From the information that IEBC has shared so far things will be better than 2017.

Ehe then I wonder, in the five years what have they been doing pro actively, to address that particular issue?

I like the idea of sending pictures of the forms rather than the data itself. At least you will be able to compare the physical doc and the one that is sent. Also I hope they included the suggestion to add a section for writing the figures in words.

If the folks are clean, why not release them?

Why doesn't chebukati just go and clear everything with the police? Or hire grand mullah to defend them to be released to do their work.

If those materials are iebc items, why didn't they follow the correct procedure?

There's something we don't know, the ultimate buck stops with chebukati ,why did he allow iebc materials to come as personal luggage ?

Smartmatic is not in question in the arrest of the first personell. He is being arrested for having stickers. Stickers, according to an IEBC official, are meant for labeling the bags that will carry the KIEMS kits.

The other two employees who have been in the country for 3 months were there to receive and escort him and were also arrested. I mean, this is a simple matter that has been blown out of proportion. A clear overstepping by deep state agents.

Let's remove political afflictions for a while.If tomorrow ruto or rao says those stickers were meant for fake iebc officials, what would their supporters think?

Let's not pretend we don't know how our local politics works. Even if they're innocent, iebc should have informed security, their people are coming with , and they'll have stickers with them just the way they said ballot papers are landing and enough security was provided.

The question around the stickers being in personal belongings is a bit vague but I agree it should have been declared. We will soon find out the answer around this.

But how do you justify this for DCI? They are basically denying the arrests.

They're simply disputing Iebc allegations, no such structure as OCS ATPU exist.

You expect IEBC communications team to be fully aware of security structure. A poorly worded letter only points to 2 things, incompetence or it was a deliberate mistake to avoid litigation latter. Also between the 2 - why are you taking as the gospel truth whatever IEBC is saying?
Also why is IEBC quick to issue pressors to the public instead of addressing issues raised? Why can't chebukati just go to the police commissioner and clarify everything instead of acting like itumbi?

Really? Mutahi Ngunyi tweets? Let's not sink that low. I am inclined to believe IEBC because they are the independent institution mandated to handle elections.

DCI on the other hand may be an independent institution but you know very well they are under the president's thumb. Sonko's terrorism charges being a perfect example.

Furthermore, DCI says nobody was arrested, yet the police are saying certain individuals were arrested. Who is lying?
