KU seeks Sh450m bank loan to solve cash crisis

Kenyatta University (KU) is seeking a commercial loan of up to Sh450 million from local lenders in the latest signal of the deep financial difficulties facing the country's institutions of higher learning.

That was a cash cow, in the era of waKibaki, K.U and JKUAT purchased properties worth Hundreds of millions around the city, so as to expand and extend their parallel programs.

I was there a few weeks ago and one of the ladies there I met in the office was asking me for a job yet she was already working there. Maybe she knows she is supplement to requirements.
 
This is a rotten country. When did our universities change from non-profit public institutions that purely offer education to commercial enterprises? Who allowed this? Should it be even an issue of debate?
