Why wouldn't Reuben and the Many Others organize a debate themselves where the bar will be higher?

Actually I've just taken my time to listen to the most important 25 minutes of the debate
And it's clear the debate was what you'd expect and importantly, Sakaja beat Igathe when push came to shove.
Igathe had no plans for Nairobi until just three months ago

It was all professional until Sakaja came in and started some kienyeji arguments wasting time on back and forth instead of focusing on important issues.
In some way igathe is what the middle class relate to and sakaja relates to the informal settlement residents .
In general non of them has a comprehensive solution for Nairobi , just two pawns ♟

24 pages of brilliant thinking. Would he have implemented it fully? I doubt but still a solid plan.

For me, the outstanding idea from the debate was Sakajas plan to divide Nairobi into buroughs. This will create localised management that can be held accountable in contrast to the current situation where the managers are all at The Hole..
