Why shouldn't it? What is so exceptional about this website that common human interaction rules are irrelevant? Trolling, flame baiting and foul language are frowned upon on most decent forums.

We're having two different discussions kaka.

My argument is for freedom of debate and speech. Those who find it difficult to stomach the extremes of that should get out of the game. Policing language has no place in boisterous political debate.

Furthermore, it is next to impossible to define what constitutes an "offending opinion". Reporting alone is insufficient.

So we must either define that or be mum about the whole situation. This is what I'm telling admin.

I agree that the forum can discuss ANY subject without fear of retribution. However, juvenile insults calculated at demeaning other people is bullying. It is unhealthy and does not add any value.

The actual definition of having a healthy discussion is the act of being able to debate and tolerate opposing viewpoints.

Political debates are rarely ever healthy.

Insults happen during debates of opinion, it is the nature of the beast.

It is an election year. If you set this standard, you may as well delete the news and politics section.

Unless, you're actually supporting a particular side, which is okay.

Supporting a particular side doesn't mean suppressing other views coz one got the powers to do so
