The ref in the Mali -Tunisia game has ferked up big time. Blown the final whistle at the 85th minute, then restarted it again and finally ended it at 89th minute. This as Mali were ahead by a goal. Halafu one of the the linesmen hit the Tunisian assistant coaches on the back. Hawa ni kufutwa wanafutwa leo.

The games so far have been quite drab and cagey affair.Think this stems from the fact that in Africa most teams don’t seem to have quality playmakers who can create something out of nothing.As a continent we are well endowed in defense and defensive midfield positions as well as the striking departments and more recently we have improved greatly in the goalkeeping department,but the creative mid department we are well short.Apart from Jay Jay Okocha and to some extent Yaya Toure I can’t think of any quality creative midfielders from Africa in last few decades!
Until this area is improved most games will remain a dull affair bordering on boring with tight scorelines!
