I'd see no problem letting them stay so long as they contribute to the household expenses if they are working. If they are not then they should do chores.
It happens all the time to help kids save up for mortgage deposits or for a wedding.
But once you are 18 there is no such thing as a free lunch.
 
Anybody who was raised in a home in nairobi should never move out until they are marrird...that would be a wrong strategic move economically and socially

Many people here are pointing out your freedom. Freedom to interact with your peers, freedom to learn, freedom to make mistakes and learn from them. When you live with your parents to such an age, your are either too controlling or a wimp. Let me elaborate.

When it's my house, I set the rules. The gate is locked and the main door are locked at specific times of the night. Everyone over 21 year is allowed to drink, but if they must drink, they must not be allowed to come to my house. There is only one slot for a drinker In my house, I shall not relinquish that slot.

There is dress code, mannerism and your girlfriend (not girlfriends!). No tight fit, no shoulders seen. Madam forbids cleavage. No talking while chewing anything, including gum. No gigling sheepishly. You may only introduce me to one girlfriend. Mkikosana, you wait another one year before you introduce me to the next one. Nikikataa yeye, take your time, two years.

Are those rules too many? They are designed to get you off the house. It's for your good. A good parent knows that they won't be there for you forever.
