Biggest heist is the Wang'uru stadium. Ati it consumed over 6B and it's not even complete with substandard finishes and an asphalt track. I know of a stadium in Nairobi that has used slightly over 900m so far and has kasarani standard athletics track, an Olympic size swimmo, sprinklers that rise and disappear from the ground and also a gender sensitive fully equipped underground gym. Total budget 1.2B when fully done. The Mwea one should have cost 400m maximum.

The government has started building a Sh300 million stadium in Kirinyaga County following a presidential directive.
A spot check by the Nation on Monday established that Veevee Enterprises which won the tender has started work on Wang'uru Stadium whose condition had deteriorated to worrying levels.
The project involves the building of a standard pitch, race track, terraces, recreation facilities, perimeter wall, dressing rooms and ablution blocks among other amenities.
It will take six months to complete the mega project located in the sprawling Mwea plains.
