Our failure is by design. We want it this way. The British have not prevented us from freeing ourselves but our leaders want to loot without interference from the west so they allow the west to do as they please. What did Britain do to the Asian Tigers? Nothing. Yet those countries freed themselves. Heck! Britain did nothing to the US when they freed themselves from UK andd forged ahead without UK's manipulation.

In political science they are referred to a 'petty bourgeoisie' Emotional African leaders who thought nationalism meant screaming for independence yet they had no clue on how to ran a government and manage the meagre resources vis-a-vis a growing population

I interact with teachers and educational sector players on almost daily basis. Your conclusion above is not supported by the experts and practitioners.
The 8-4-4 you are currently praising was termed a bastard education system by some of our senior senators here akina @Field Marshal and @Mwalimu-G . It was quite popular in the early days of 8-4-4 to claim that it's equal to 0 mathematically speaking.

Back to the topic at hand, we have been dealt a bad card but until we (elect)get someone who is ready to muddy the waters, we shall be complaining about it on the social media. Elect someone with no baggage like Reuben Kigame for a fresh start.
