An idiot painted my jalopy with a peeling paint. Now it looks like its suffering from a serious bout of mashilingi. Imechapa sana hata meno imeng'oka! Now I need services of a serious Omosh and a professional paint job. Which company does the best job?

Mokanika, @Introvert kuja kidogo.

Research on the best materials and buy them on your own. Then find a good painter (a old hand) who will tell you where you can rent a painting booth for the job. Hire the painter and supervise the whole process to make sure they do what they say should be done.
Relying on garages to make some decisions comes with risks. The key is to make sure you are in control of the most critical inputs. In many cases, garages will ruin a paint job just to save a few shillings.

You can do all this at the garage if you have the time and unless you're a paint professional, you won't know when the job has been done as required.
There are very many trust worthy garages that operate openly, shida is if you're a stingy person, then they deal with you accordingly.

I did some repairs in industrial area, shimo latewa road, so many body shops, doing amazing work.

The job procedures are usually the same everywhere, mostly. The materials form the most critical part, and most garages will be tempted to do what they have to do to fill their day. If you can control the materials by purchasing only the best, chances are high you will not face problems later. The price difference between premium materials and others is manageable and worth the final results. Any third-rate material that goes into the process, no matter how minor, will affect the outcome. Unfortunately, the effects become visible some years later.
Even if you give the job to a garage, at least make sure you personally purchase the materials. The people there will inform you the quantities needed of each. The slightest bargain with paint shops gives them a good excuse to rip you off.

I know, what you mean, I've done all the above severally times, that's why I'm able to say, it's not for everyone as it's time intensive and you have to know someone who knows the job.

If you can choose the kind of spares that go into your car, you should be able to choose what paint goes on your car. It is not difficult, we just choose to be lazy and 'busy'. We spend days researching before buying a new phone. The same should apply for all important acquisitions.
