This government hates its own youth.
Before one even breaks even, the kind of licenses, fees, and unfortunately even bribes that one has to pay just frustrate us, man. Kuzidisha, even for formal jobs, one needs so many clearance certs that it is no wonder many youths just end up getting frustrated and seek pastures elsewhere in places such as Arabia and it does not always end well

A fellow here by the name Guoka thinks that the government provides the best investment environment this side of the world.
You wonder if he's senile, stupid, paid or all the above.

This government hates its own youth. Wewe jaribu ufungue biz kama hiyo uone vile polisi, KRA, KEBS, NEMA, kanjo na mafisi wengine wataland kwako wakitaka kakitu.

Na ukikataa kutoa polisi wanakuua.
Murume, you have to be carefull with this kind of talk and thoughts. As sure as the sun rises they will hold you back.
Is government red tape and taxes holding people back, yes thats true. But is that the reason these startups have wazungus in top management, FUCK NO! The reason is bazungu seems to only trust fellow bazungu when it comes times to put up startup capital. And for some reason kenyan billlionaires are not too eager to put up capital in other peoples ideas

Let me be bold and say the truth, i know it will make people angry but it has to be said:

The reality which we don't want to admit is that the thinking capacity of the black man is lower

It hurts i know

This is very true, but it is only one side of the story. Where someone local were to attempt to bootstrap their idea, the roadblocks they meet are enough to get them to quit, or even sell their innovation.

A great example is Morris Mbetsa, a proper Kenyan innovator. The guy came up with great ideas, tried to get approval for them but ended up getting frustrated from all the red tape and kickbacks he was asked for

Allow me to differ. The problem is not the thinking, it is in the small distance to our horizon. We lack exposure because we stopped reading useful things that fire our imagination hence we cant create.
