But what do the county governments in those areas do to improve the lives of the citizens ?
They are heavily dependent in the national govt sending money on time....so ultimately it still comes back full circle why the NG does jot support the county govt to mitigate such disasters by providing cushioning funds over and above what is normally provided

I am not govt apologist but truth be told most counties affected by the drought have mismanaged a big chunk of the money they get whether ime chelewa or not. Those counties whatever they get wana chelewesha development but they pay salaries and per diem hapo hapo.

true, kuna thread hapa which detailed the amount of billions received by asal counties since 2013 but nothing much to show for it, apart from malls in east leigh, south c apartments etc. if they had planned from 2013 by now drought would been a thing of the past, those benchmarking trips never yielded anything.
