Whats happening at Quickmart? Crazy low prices.

True, they have offers then overprice other items, I recently bought sanitizer for 380/- 50ml bottle! I'm still holding on to my receipt and the said sanitizer! I felt robbed! Planning to return it, same sanitizer at carrefour is ksh 90!
Make sure you complain wakiruka tag KOT na effidens !

They're not doing it out of the goodness of their hearts.

Supermarkets will sometimes compel/force merchants that supply goods to provide extra rebates or discounts.

Merchants don't have to agree to the said discounts, unaingianga tu supermarket unapata ile product yako uliwaambia utawauzia Sh200 sasa imewekwa offer Sh99. Watakulipa hio Sh99 na hata less na wakwambie walipeana discount.

This upuss led suppliers to sue Carrefour.

For every discount or promotion you enjoy, a supplier/manufacturer somewhere is suffering for it.
Always remember that.

Na hiyo ndiyo injili ya leo.
what about the times those suppliers overcharge you for items, pia wakenya huwa wanaumizwa na those same suppliers

Do you expect guys like EABL can be made to suffer by a small company like Quickmart or Carrfour?
Exactly if you're a big company with popular products you hold the power, imagine quickmart messing with CocaCola and in return CocaCola bans the supply of any CocaCola products to Quickmart outlets. They will have a very long week.

Exactly.
So how is Quickmart able to sell beer and soda at below distributor prices? Surely the parent companies can't be hurting.

They just sent this for today's deals 👇🏾

Y'all forgetting that Quickmart is celebrating 15 years of being in existence. They must have talked to suppliers regarding their promotions during the celebratory season. And the suppliers must have agreed to let Quickmark earn bonga points during this time.
Celebration time ikiisha you will pay for all those discounts you got.

Exactly.

They buy straight from the manufacturer/parent company and sell at cost price (make zero profit) and get rebates from the parent company when they move quantities. For example if they move 5 million units they get a rebate of 500K shillings.
