A thought on CBC

But there is some essential knowledge of the world around a human being that is actually lifeskills.
One must be careful with human beings ! In mid eighties M01 tried it . Few can recall the national youth service for pre university admission and how it ended !

The problem i have with this CBC is the assumption they are making that all families have the same resources, some are too poor to even source items for these crazy assignments

this is the main issue, even brushing of everyone to use locally available material is not the solution, a public curriculum should be accomodative to all classes , not to make any class to feel superior or inferior.

Another thing is now transferring a kid is very hard especially private schools 'coz different schools use different books from different publishers, you wonder what kind of assessment they'll use to transit from primary to high school.

Take your child to public school, infact the government is out full blast to kill private schools and other institutions. Forget the roles private institutions play across our economy

shida ni we don't have enough public schools, kuja kitengela, you look at the population and available schools, unashanga. Actually one school ,the headmaster was forced to put a notice outside the gate ,no vacancies.. Most satellite towns are serviced by private schools

The problem with kitengela is that the people who would have normally set aside land and funds for building of additional schools don't, claiming that it's populated by 'foreigners' yet their County government does not shy from taking taxes, fees and levies from the same 'foreigners'.
