Déjà Vu

So, the scientist up there is telling you that the antivaxxer is wrong or right or half-right on numerous points. Whom are we supposed to believe is correct? The person who has who has read something and has grasped "something" or the actual expert who is correcting the "something" the person is espousing?

That scientist didn’t provide any references or explanations for her ‘counter arguments’. She is no different from a regular pedestrian.

The only thing that makes one an expert is the ability to provide more insight based on real life experience than a regular person would not get from reading published material.

That’s why I said that scientist and the antivaxer are no different from that video. They’re both making unsupported assertions.

While i can agree that neither of them has given evidence to support the claims, i still refuse that they are speaking from the same level. We have established one that at least one of parties is clearly qualified to speak about the subject matter.

And as you have said "The only thing that makes one an expert is the ability to provide more insight based on real life experience than a regular person would not get from reading published material."
Would you not agree that Dr Tracy whose resume includes: Phd Microbiology and Immunology with minor in Biochemistry and a B.S in Biology qualifies as a expert?

@The.Black.Templar you said you couldnt find any of her research papers. She has listed all them here in her CV here. If you are interested in them, you then google them on the titles.

There is nothing on that link, but does it have links to articles she has written in the matter?

Dont ever feel limited because you’re not an expert. I read major contracts every now and then and I’m not a lawyer. I understand them and if i happen to misunderstand some clause and ask questions based on my wrong understanding, expert lawyers always assist to correct my understanding which in the end helps me learn things I didn’t know.
Open up your horizons, read new things to gain an understanding not necessarily to be an expert.
True!

There is nothing on that link
