I didn't say that the Note 8 is necessarily better than even those newly launched premium Tecnos and Infinixes. I just suggested that after the comparison it will be surprising for him to find how superbly the Note 8 stands it's ground as it majestically argues the case for the flagships, never mind the fact being that it is a 4 year old relic!


And I also say, perhaps if you did various comparisons yourself with several other models and brands, you might find that the Redmi note 10 pro you are vouching for is just an other good phone from Xiaomi, but not actually any better than many others!

I don't have a problem with using older flagships over newer models. But before you go that route, remember there are Snapdragon 870 and 860 and they might cost same as your older flagship and give you more value

But Xiaomi should never be quoted anywhere with tecno of infinix, lets give credit where due

There is ONLY one company that uses these high end processors on midrange phones and that will be Xiaomi, and it is ALMOST ONLY on their Pocophone series. Tell me any OTHER company?

And now the question... I am comfortable using 45,000/- on a smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus is 44,000/-, brand new and unlocked, on Amazon. Why should I even think about buying any Xiaomi, and I mean ANY, @ the same price with the mighty Note 10 plus unless it be just for fidelity to the company and its brands? Even at 5k cheaper a Xiaomi will be of no comparison whatsoever with the Samsung!

Back to the 5G topic, I think this might be a US based survey so maybe it paints the picture in US where maybe 5G rollout might not be efficient or great. Perhaps a comparison with China or say South Korea might paint a better pic.

China currently has like 70% of 5G base stations and 80% of 5G connected devices China rolls out 916,000 5G stations, making up 70% of global total - Global Times

I think China will lead in creation of apps/tech that utilise 5G

44 minus 32 is 12k. This is a difference that makes some sense. But, I can still go for the Samsung Galaxy S10 plus that is selling at 27K, 5k cheaper than the poco. I will have a more premium phone and still save enough for a mifi!!!

ati display, the Galaxy is at 60hz refresh rate, the Poco at 120Hz. That alone will make up for a lot for the 100 ppi difference in a huge way. The resolution is a non-issue.

Plastic Frame is also a none issue. JerryRigsEverything has proved this countless times

Now apart from those 2 issues, you know very well that Poco outperforms that Galaxy phone in everything. That includes processing(Both GPU and CPU).

Better processing means better performance in literally everything from camera image processing to gaming, to Battery usage.
Poco also will get 3 years of OS support from 2021 while galaxy will get from?


You would be a fool to go for that galaxy over that Poco.
