As it stands, UDA candidate seems to be marginally ahead of the Jubilee candidate. That can turn on a dime if the strategies employed on voting day suppress voter turn out.

This strategy, in my opinion, would actually be detrimental to Jubilee. If anything, the youthful voters who are aligned with UDA will most likely come out to vote regardless. The wazees are more likely to stay at home.

This will be very interesting to watch.

why are they not happy? what really caused the animosity?
anyway I also know a few young fellows who are UDA damu but mostly 'coz of freebies but UDA had mount a very colorful campaign, will be an interesting elections to watch, the implications are huge.

I think it all started with Uhuru kutupanisha his own people. Even as early as the first term people have always complained that all development projects have gone elsewhere and nothing was coming to central.

I think this kenol-marua road is the first visible project and comes off as tokenism.

This term the relationship between central voters and Uhuru broke down after Covid. Hiyo covid millionaires was a massive pain point. Especially when people could see how hard he was fighting for BBI and all the money going there.

The final nail on the head is the economy going into the dumps. I think in Central there is no worse crime than the government putting holes in peoples pockets. Hakuna pesa.
 
I overheard some young people say 'uhuru anapeleka maendeleo nyanza na ata hawakumchagua". Like were they supposed to be neglected? What if the future president decides to solely concentrate on his region and leave others? And let's be truthful. There is no other place which got more road share than in central. Lakni siasa hupumbaza.

Other than Ruto - Uhuru fight, you litsen to those candidates and that UDAku candidate could be the least qualified. That guy Mwalimu seems to be the most qualified, followed by the Jubilee candidate. Hao watu ka hawangekuwa na support ya hawa senior politicians that udaku guy would be the last.

Muguga ward, UDAku candidate is a society reject. Yaani alifkuzwa ata kanisa coz he's a serial conman. But hey, does the kenyan society look at morals when electing politicians?
