Eh, helos don't just fall out of the sky in most cases. They have a process known as autorotation where the energy stored in the propeller motion can be enough to get the helo to glide and crash land safely.Alright but according to you, what are the chances of people surviving in such an impact involving a helicopter?
I don't know the particulars of this accident but if they were above a water body, it would have been easier and safer to ditch in water.
I also don't know if it was a tail rotor failure, engine failure, main prop failure e.t.c. Too many variables for me to make an "informed" analysis of what could be done to save lives.
