On matters raising, I came up with kids who were brought up well and still ended up messed up along the way.
It's a parents duty to enforce morals on their kids.

The only lesson she learnt is that the very people that are meant to protect and love you can turn on you and humiliate you in front of the whole world in the pretence of protecting you.

Isn't rectifying someone from becoming a hoe, the best protection one could ever get in their lives?
You know as a society we have to take a stand and draw a line, not to just let everything go.

Would a male receive this treatment for being a 'hoe'?
Or is it only women who are hoes?
Oh wait, men are not subject to moral policing.
All of you and especially you that have daughters should be against this and should teach your sons that you should never put your hand on a woman in anger.

Traditionally, society extends more protection to girls than boys, and for good reasons. One, girls will be tempted with inducements from males long before they have developed the maturity needed to discern the risks involved. However, if controlled by mature society members, the young woman is likely to end up with a stable family as a mother first, and a grandmother in future. It is better to guide the expression of this power for a few years than risk burdens for generations to come. Most women today owe their stability and happiness to stringent social structures.

I find your argument condescending and patronising to women.

And BTW the beating we are debating has the hallmarks of an honour beating.
Very often the next step is an honour killing.
Often those that survive this kind of humiliation can result to suicide or selfharm.
Who wins?

The most stable communities are those that control their womenfolk stringently; no single mothers, no bastards, no prostitutes, no gayish sons etc. Why should she self-harm if this is the standard treatment for her kind? She is not the first one to undergo such treatment.
