Often, I defend the Uhuru gavament because I think the criticism it gets is just low IQ BS.
On this one I am with you 564% ; increasing cooking gas prices during a pandemic is the most stupid, insensitive and downright inhumane thing a gavament can do. It is 'mind-bogglingly' retarded.
Not only will it push more people into poverty, but as you have correctly pointed out it'll drive more households to use charcoal. End result? Deforestation and rise in respiratory illnesses.
How a thinking gavament cannot see this is beyond me.
