Lest we forget....

12 years ago on this day, 35 victims of Post-election violence were burnt alive in a church. The Kenya Assemblies of God, Kiambaa would never be the same again. Most painful of all is that the perpetrators still walk free, no regrets, no responsibility taken.

...after the KAG Kiambaa church attack, nobody has been convicted for the crimes.

There can not be reconciliation without justice. I have seen a few individuals (purporting to speak for the victims) saying that they forgave and moved on. How can there be forgiveness without repentance? And can the dead forgive?

I refuse to forgive.
A little research màma saitan, someone was convicted for this(not the pple we expected tho') just some random sura ngumu bonobo.

I only know of one person who was convicted of grabbing someone's land. He was ordered to surrender it back and pay some costs.
Then we rewarded him with a very high political seat.

The ordinary sura ngumu bonobo siijui

There is an old lady who lost all her family in that kiambaa attack huwa anatembea from basilica, Parliament road hadi harambee house kila usiku akili, huyo hawezi sahau na kusamehea.
I hope she isn't saying riwe riwaro 2022

Forgiveness without justice is an illusions. That's why even in the last 2 elections after that, we almost found ourselves back to 2007/8 madness.
If justice was meted out, then we can easily forget and move on knowing that the scores are settled.
Problem is if someone else gets elected apart from mashamba same thing can actually happen because mkono haikurudishwa
