There is a question I usually ask female college students who come to me for internship (20-25 yr olds) and about three quarters of them are vehement that they do not want to get married (although they will have a child). They do not want the accountability (loss of freedom!) that comes with married life.
What we are seeing is the aftermath of this kind of attitude.

I think the traditional family unit is in danger of being extinct.
I am following a social experiment on TV called 'strangers making babies'.
With the help of an agency, people from all walks of life seek to pair up and have a child.
What they have in common is a strong desire to be parents and feel time is running out.
Romantic involvement in some cases is completely off the table. They just want to be co-parents no strings attached.
