Nakumbuka nilisumbuana na @Meria pale MMNN about this story. The guys I knew then huko never knew of such a story but huku nje watu wanasema hakuna vile Zambian soldiers can be in the country without DOD's knowledge.

My guess it is the privateer mamluks who guard private mining interests in Southern Africa kama Executive Outcomes.

I didn't follow this story too much after the incident but they were actual Zambian soldiers under orders from Zambia DOD.

Btw Eben Barlow has reopened Executive Outcomes. Seems this Mozambique thing is going to be expensive.
