Why do we have an increase in the first place? Which problem(s) is being fixed by this increase? Are there alternative solutions?

Critical good point. I would add the legal system to capture our corrupt judges and magistrates. Therefore Economy, Healthcare, education and Legal system.

On the legal system it is not the judges and magistrates we need to concern ourselves with, it is the police and the DPP, that is why an Ombudsman is a useless office. Until the police stop acting as lackeys of the executive and instead serve the people under the conditions set by the conditions corruption will remain a thorn in our flesh

I have been thinking about the tax holidays for young people na nikaona unless the greedy tenderpreneurs are eliminated ( impossible ) it will be biggest loop hole for tax evasion . We already have the greedy buggers using you people to win tenders . Now imagine having a 7or is it 8 year window to transact bila kusumbuliwa na tax man ?
This has happened Kwa tenders za NYS with the young Ngirita and few months ago with the COVID KeMSA scam .

Any exhemtion in taxation is a loophole that can be exploited. I wish they used turnover instead. Let's say any business earning less than x amount of money.
