Mike Pence is reportedly ‘homeless’ after being booted from the Vice President’s official residence last week.
The ex-VP and his wife, Karen, returned to their home state of Indiana last Wednesday but no longer own property there, according to one former Trump advisor who spoke with Business Insider.
‘He doesn’t have anywhere to live,’ the source told the publication on Tuesday.
There are now rumors the pair are ‘couch surfing’, either staying with Pence’s brother in Columbus, Indiana or at the Indiana Governor’s secluded vacation cabin in Brown County.
Several insiders are said to be ‘vexed’ by the fact that the Vice President doesn’t own property. He has reportedly not owned a home in more than 10 years.

Speaking last week, Pence told fans that he would be moving home to Indiana by the summer, but some that may not be the case.
Insiders predict he may rent in Washington, DC as he considers a run for the White House in 2024, while others believe he won’t purchase a property while there are still threats to his safety.
During the siege of the Capitol earlier this month, angry MAGA supporters stormed the building threatening to kill the Vice President if he did not try to overturn the results of last November’s election.
Pence still has a Secret Service detail, and is thought to be concerned about the protection of his family.
‘That would make sense. They wanted to hang him in the Capitol,’ one Indiana Republican told Business Insider.

The Pences owned modest family homes in Indiana in the 1980s and 1990s, before they moved to Washington, DC in 2000.
They returned to Indiana about a decade later, where they rented in Indianapolis for three years before Pence was elected as Governor of the state in 2013.
They then moved into the Governor’s Mansion, where they lived until Pence was elected as Vice President in 2016.

If the couple do decide to put down roots again in Indiana, they’ll have no shortage of cash to splash on a property.
Pence has a net worth upwards of $1 million, and he could make plenty more money in the coming years.
Sources told Business Insider that Pence is could be ‘eyeing a position at the helm of a Christian college’, such as Liberty University.
That would guarantee him an annual income in the high six figures – which is more than the cost of the average home in Indianapolis, which is currently around $169,000.
Meanwhile, the state government spent a similar figure renovating the Indiana Governor’s vacation cabin back in 2013, just after Pence become the state’s Governor.
According to reports at the time, the five-bedroom cabin received a $162,000 makeover and new furnishings.
That is the property where the Pences are now believed to be staying, but officials would not confirm or deny if the political pair are bunking down there for the time being.
