A couple had hired a flashy limousine to color their wedding, but faced an untimely halt with an accident. The limousine, which was hired in order to transport the bride to her wedding ground was involved in a car accident on Mwea-Embu Rd on Saturday. This prompted for the delay of the wedding ceremony for a number of hours.
The couple identified as Lee Njiru and Maureen Wangithi had hired the flash pimp for a whooping Ksh. 200,000.00 for one day.
The whole bridal party were at the back side of the limousine which was headed to Kiamutugu in Gichugu, in Kirinyaga county. This was the designated wedding reception. However, the journey was halted for a couple of hours after another vehicle pumped into them from one side.
The Limousine driver tried to avoid the accident but in vain. The witnesses said that the accident could have been terrible, for it not been for the careful driver. In the process of trying to control the accident, the limo was wrecked on the road side hence, ruining the fancy car.
Because of the interior design of the car, no one inside was physically hurt during the accident, however, the bridal party was in consistent lamentations because the party had been ruined. This prompted for a dramatic reception, contrary to what was initially expected.
According to the transport manager, “We hired the limousine at Ksh.200,000 to transport the bride but right now she will be transported to the Christians Worship International Ministry in another vehicle, it is a big loss,”
Kenya Mails also established that the Limousine was since towed to Wang’uru Police Station.
