The Sriwijaya Air flight SJ182 dropped from almost 11,000 feet to 250ft in a space of 5 mins before it disappeared from the radar.

It was reported that the Sriwijaya Air plane for the Jakarta-Pontianak route had lost contact. The Regent of Seribu Islands, Junaedi, said that a plane crashed around the island of Laki , Kepulauan Seribu .
Junaedi said that he received the information at around 14.30 WIB. Juanedi said the plane crashed and exploded.
"Yes, he said there was (the plane crashed) earlier at 14.30 WIB. Maybe there is currently a search. The info (the plane) crashed, exploded on Male Island," Junaedi told detikcom , Saturday

Indonesia said a search and rescue mission was underway on Saturday after air traffic control lost contact with a passenger plane just minutes after it took off from Jakarta.
There were 56 passengers and six crew members onboard the plane, which was not the 737 MAX model involved in two recent deadly crashes.


According to the FlightRadar24 tracker, Sriwijaya Air flight SJ182, said to be a Boeing 737-500, lost more than 10,000 feet of altitude in less than one minute, approximately four minutes after it departed Soekarno–Hatta International Airport.
