Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama had been arrested in Msambweni while monitoring the ongoing voting exercise.

Muthama ditched Wiper party and NASA as a whole early this year andis now considered to be in DP Ruto's camp.

Johnson Muthama was replaced by the late Machakos Senator who succumb last week at Nairobi Hospital, family said he succumbed to Covid-19.

Muthama has been know for to be an outspoken citizen and was a big supporter of Raila and Kalonzo Musyoka drying their 2013 and 2017 presidential race.

He is now in DP Ruto's camp
