In 2009 we had a Finance minister who phased out Mercedes E200 in favour of Passat . A decade later he is the President watching as so much is wasted on non-essentials. According to his records, the economy is doing better than ever before.
FYI , in 2018 the auditor general raised queries as to why a GK passat was sold at Ksh 32,000 while in the market the same model is roughly Ksh 1.2 Million.
