Mashujaa Day: Huduma Namba cards are ready

Interior CS Fred Matiangi has today issued the President and first lady with Huduma cards.

CS Matiangi said that the cards will be distributed to the public once all the processes are done. (Parliament and Judiciary)

Today, 10 Huduma namba cards have been issued to the public for validation.

Last week, when the president met all the CS and huduma Namba developers in Manyani, Taita Taveta county, he said that the project was not developed by Germans but by Kenyan youth dismissing claims by DP Ruto allies.

While addressing the National at Gusii Stadium in Kisii county, President Kenyatta said the Huduma will enable Kenyans access services fast either online or through the centers available in Kenya.

There is a lot of hope in the new Huduma Namba card which all Kenyans are about to receive free of charge from the government. The card will enable Kenyans to access government services quickly and efficiently. ARV drugs for example, will suddenly materialize in government hospitals upon producing the card. The tales of agony from Pumwani Maternity Hospital, Kenyatta National Hospital and others, will disappear. Mathari Mental Hospital will have doctors as well as medical supplies once the patients whip out their cards. Actually, mentally ill persons will no longer be loitering around, dirty and hungry, sleeping on street corners, as anyone with the card can just show it to them and they get well. Farmers will be accessing high quality seeds, farm inputs as well as local and regional markets very easily with the card. Infrastructure development like roads, schools, sports stadia and the entire Big Four agenda has only been waiting for the card. Corruption cases will be adjudicated in a week, because everyone involved has the card. BBI will only be the icing on the cake, by ensuring that after national elections, the winners and the losers are all winners, by increasing the positions of power and sharing them equitably. All the voters who vote with huduma card will end up with government positions with pay and perks befitting their positions. Heck, the pay might even be backdated to 1963. The generations before us should have figured out that the old ID Card has been our single biggest barrier to progress all along. There's no better time to be Kenyan than now.
