DJ Evolve VS Babu Owino

Felix Orinda, alias DJ Evolve, now wants a case against Embakasi East MP Babu Owino withdrawn.

After consultation with his family, they agreed to concentrate on his health rather than the case of attempted murder case pending in court.

In the matter, Babu was charged with attempting to kill Evolve by shooting him on the neck.

In a letter to the court, the DJ, through his lawyers, said that the case has affected his healing process.

this is the right direction to take.
settle out of court BUT make sure the money for settling all the bills is in your account before signing anything.

we have so many cases of politticians and normal Kenyans, who have settled same or even worse cases out of court and life moved on.

we have some who have been implicated in murder and are now musicians and news anchors.
so DJ Evolve, settle out of court and move on. am sure we havent helped you as Kenyans and we also wont help you if things turn for the worse.

the video showing the Dj being shot.
witnesses at the scene of crime
or the Dj himself.

if its the Djs testimony that holds the case, then it might end up with a Not Guilty verdict.

No, it tells you shida/poverty is the worst enemy to humanity. Imagine licking the butt of your oppressor for few coins, because if babu's case is prosecuted successfully, the DJ will lose even the little he gets for treatment

You will have to agree that the process of restitution is anchored in our constitution if it would serve the best for the society like in this matter. It's a win win situation.

If someone who almost killed another in cold blood gets to bargain his way out of a manslaughter charge then the DPP has to offer the same arrangement to petty criminals, it makes no sense having prisons full of people who stole chicken and such if restitution is an option.
