Guyz in the corporate world,is there any specific format/template of a c.v. do you need something fancy or a plain word doc will do.

Human beings stopped reading CVs. Sikuizi CV husomwa na computer. Something called Applicant Tracking System (ATS). So you may have a neatly formatted CV but system inasema you havent qualified. That said, a plain document should do.
The CV should be flowing in chronological order starting to what you are currently doing.
Try use the common fonts like Times Roman ama Arial Black.
Avoid using columns and rows in your CV.
The debate is still out there whether the CV should be in .doc or .pdf format

You need to write an action oriented CV mentioning your tasks and achievements.
But the biggest secret is to always rewrite your CV to march the language of the job opportunity. If you keep sending a generic CV utakaa sana kabla uitwe interview. Pia your cover letter is a very important component of your application.

Get a PDF format, word is outdated. There are many CV making sites online. I use Zety Resume Builder unapata kitu kama this one attached. Its a bit costly though. Kuna zile za free. I have been in the corporate world for 20 years, have never bothered to update my LinkedIn profile.
