It's not a universal depth, depends with the area. From a couple of observations, 5-7 feetHow deep should one dig in Eastlands and other parts of Nairobi before getting to the base rock , for the purposes of laying foundations ?

There is other cases where you would require this tho mostly in nairobi hizi hutumika on fill sites, mahali quarry ilijazwa na any available material then watu wakauziwa burotiIt is not necessary to find bedrock as that can be 10 meters or more below ground. One can do a raft foundation.
