Woman dies after her car hit an elephant in Meru

A 28-year-old woman was crushed to death after her car hit an elephant at Kithoka area on the Meru-Ruiri road on Monday.
The injured elephant smashed the Toyota Probox car, killing Ms Jackline Mwendwa Mwebia on the spot and slightly injuring Ms Josephine Kiogora and two others.

There is a road junction at chaka near Nyeribthat cuts through the Mount Kenya forest and goes to State House ya huko kwa kichaka. Along that road, if you are not careful at night utapatana na Elephants camping in the middle of the road.

What is worse is they are blend perfectly in the dark and all you see is a large silhouette and eyes glimmering from the headlights.

Turning back around is highly recommended especially if you own nothing larger than a tank let alone a probox.
