What best way to air grievances in Schools?

Moi Girls High School Eldoret students on Wednesday went on strike demanding the removal of the school principal Christine Chumba

They boycotted classes demanding an immediate removal of the principal, accusing her of harassing them and also mistreating their teachers

The students didn't damage any property

This is a genuine case of students communicating their grievances. The others we hear of dormitories seting themselves in flames as students are in class, are all SCANDALS

Of course we know the arsonists. In other non related news, Chamanenyu is a very sly character

After posing for romantic photoshoots with the tangatanga honchos the West Pokot Governor sat in the assembly to personally supervise how the constitution amendment bill is passed!

Lastly, the iconic Kisumu Boys and Kisumu Girls, a century old schools, are set for demolition to create space for expansion of the lake town

According to him, the institutions should be relocated to a location away from the hustle and bustle aura associated with the heart of every metropolis, to a serene environment conducive for learning, as the created room serve other important purpose in the city's expansion

I am not sure the school has complained of noise emanating from the adjacent bus-park, but I see this proposal getting very unpopular with the majority residents

To them this institution is a sacred landmark which must not be touched, if what Ibe read around is anything to go by.

Can you elaborate what form the harassment of the teachers takes and also say if walimu go to complain to students if they are harassed by principal?

When it comes to students they don't do what they want.
Yes. But these problems are attributed to cosmetic solutions that always land the administration into far reaching consequences.
You cant say they just woke up in the morning and found something a miss.
Pia hako kamatha ni katiaji kiplani

I remember when time came for our principal to retire, his deputy became incredibly eager and started laying down his own law. In previous regimes the school had enjoyed incredible freedom and the students behaved themselves.

Huyu deputy na yeye akajua atatuonyesha mambo. Waking students up at 4 am ati kila mtu aoge yet we used to wake up at 6 am. Forcing form fours to buy new uniform ati because they were wearing darker or lighter shades of the official school colors. Something that had been a culture even when my uncles were there among many other crimes.

The invevitable happened. Strike na akatimuliwa a year later.
