I am a qualified nurse working in a community based health centre in a rural village. Everything is fine, in fact since we work hand in hand with government facilities, I have gotten a good exposure during the trainings and meetings. Am also paid on time and sometimes early.
Now the problem is, since we are surrounded by government facilities that offer free treatment, we have few patients coming to our facility and that means am not improving my skills and getting enough exposure.many nurses have been coming and leaving the facility because of that. Our facility is partly donour funded so we charge kidogo for treatment.This has been disturbing me for sometime now. I applied for the county job but I couldn't afford to bribe, they wanted 250k.my female colleague who we were working with, used "all means" and got her way in the county.
