After the Greater Mt Kenya unanimously and unequivocally divorced themselves from Jambas, tugeges are now consoling themselves that Tharaka-Nithi will have the numbers to carry the day.
They ignorantly and foolishly cling to the false hope that the Tharakas will play ball and repeat the drill they famously jiggled for Obako
There are three main reasons why this thinking is dumb and stupid:
For starters, how can any sane Person think that Tharaka voters are more than the combined votes of Kiambu, Murang’a, Nyeri, Nyandarua, Kirinyaga and Meru?
Secondly and just as poignant, who says that all the Tharakas will vote for Jambas-Soprano ticket?
There are very many Tharakas who are not happy with how they are being isolated from the rest of Gema.
They are openly calling this mchezo ya taon.
Finally and just as important is the small matter of how Jambas has messed the economy and screwed Folks’ standard of living.
The Tharaka being a particularly difficult area is especially hard hit by Jambas’ ineptitude and corruption.
They won’t be as eager and willing or falling over beside themselves to vote in Jambas as Kenya Kwishans are dreaming.
