Well in the past he would've been ¿involuntarily? conscripted into the warrior caste, during fighting season, where he'd be expected to die protecting his clan, chieftain, vassal lord or some other ''nobel'' cause?

He should become an advocate for assisted suicide since it can be a choice. Didn't choose his birth, but can choose his death.
