OK, I am not calling for a relaxation of interventions. Lockdown iendelee, watu waoshe mikono na ku-keep social distance, na zile mbuzinobo hutafuna Kang'eta waache hiyo tabia ya kipuzi. Hapo tukubaliane.
Anyway, the BBC has run a very interesting story here: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-52228932
You can almost sense their bewilderment and disbelief; Waafrika hawakufi.
In South Africa, the daily new cases have fallen to an average just 50 despite increased testing. There was a time they were announcing about 250 per day.
I don't know whether its the weather, genes, BCG vaccine, ARVs, kienyeji food, younger average age, lower smoking rates, lower incidences of such lifestyle diseases as hypertension, cancer, CVDs and diabetes, but it is increasingly looking like we are gonna miss the bullet.
Mungu yuko (he he he he he he!)
